Kesineni Srinivas, fondly known as Nani, is an Indian politician and entrepreneur. He is currently serving as Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha from the Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency, representing a 1.5 million strong electorate. Nani is hailed by many as one of the most prominent, pro-development political leaders across the nation. His endeavour to establish Vijayawada as a top-tier living destination has been applauded by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and many other central and state leaders alike.

Kesineni Nani always believed that improving healthcare facilities is an important step in the overall development of Vijayawada. Nani, along with with the Tata Trusts, conducted healthcare drives and provided free support benefiting over 10 lakh people of the Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency. This has developed new hopes for Vijayawada and Andhra Pradesh, in terms of affordable and high quality healthcare.
Tata Trusts, acting upon the constant initiation of Kesineni Nani, began its long-term commitment towards developing the Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency by conducting a conducive micro planning exercise of the region. The exercise was carried out over 3 months with 1500 volunteers working to survey all 265 Gram Panchayats of the Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency.
In order to enhance the livelihood opportunities of farmers in Vijayawada, Kesineni Nani provided huge discounts on tractors to farmers from all 265 Gram Panchayats of the Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency. This initiative opened new dimensions for the local farmers to transform their agricultural practices in a sustainable and profitable way.

Making Vijayawada Open Defecation Free (ODF) has been a top priority for Kesineni Nani. In collaboration with the Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency Municipal and Panchayat bodies as well Tata Trusts, Nani has worked to ensure a healthy and hygienic future for the people of Vijayawada. In the Swachh Survekshan 2018 survey, Vijayawada (Urban) was ranked as the Cleanest City in India in the ‘more than 10 lakh population’ category.
As a part of the development plan, Kesineni Nani has pushed for the expansion of the Vijayawada airport area and the addition of an extra terminal to better manage air traffic. The Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada is now classified as an International Airport with regular flights to Singapore. The number and frequency of flights between Vijayawada and major Indian cities has also increased significantly. This development brings Vijayawada closer to global business and trade affairs, holding great promise for the future.
Kesineni Nani and Tata Trusts promoted internet literacy, as part of a multifarious plan to promote entrepreneurship among the people of Vijayawada, especially youth and women, and bring awareness of the latest technological trends. This initiative, as part of a collaboration between Google India and Tata Trusts, has opened up a whole new world of livelihood opportunities for over 3 lakh rural beneficiaries..
