Kondapalli Wood Craft Cluster

With an aim to preserve an age-old handicraft and take the Kondapalli toy art to new global standards, the Honourable MP facilitated a thorough assessment of the Kondapalli cluster and followed up with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, to sanction a fund of Rs. 1.59 crore under the SFURTI scheme to comprehensively develop the Kondapalli wooden toys’ cluster. The DRDA has taken up the project as the ‘Implementing Agency’. They will work closely with District Corporation (Handicrafts) and the Lepakshi Corporation for the benefit of the cluster. The scheme aims to provide continued support to the artisans over 3 years for skill upgradation, raw material bank, new designs, online and offline marketing, nationally and internationally to develop the cluster as a self-sufficient and sustaining producer company.
